charity. We are dedicated to reuniting
stray animals from
Pittsfield with their owners,
providing shelter and veterinary
care for animals in need, and
finding loving homes for
adoptable, homeless animals.
Looking for a new best friend?
If you see someone you are interested in, download and fill out an application then either fax, email or mail to us. Better yet, why not drop it off in person and meet your potential new pet? After all, you don't really know if you are meant for each other until you meet face to face. While we try to keep our lists up to date, some animals may already have an application pending or in process. Please contact us and check on any animals status before coming out. Especially if you are driving a long distance. The application process can take between 24 and 48 hours or longer depending on our ability to reach your references. Our adoptions fee are $100.00 - $250.00 for dogs, $50.00 -$100.00 for cats, and $125.00 for kittens. This fee covers vaccinations, spay/neuter, worming, flea treatment and ear cleaning/treatment. We do offer discounts for Seniors and for those adopting Sr. Animals. Contact us for details.

Volunteer Opportunities
Whether you want to come on a regular basis, stop by when you have some spare time, or help on a special project, our animals would love to have another loving human around. All volunteers need to be at least 18 years old. Email the shelter if you are interested in helping out in any of the following tasks:
Dog Kennel Care:
Clean Dog Kennels (inside and outside)
Feed Dogs
Walk Dogs
Socialize Dogs
Train Dogs to be better citizens and increase their adoptablity
Foster special needs dogs who require extra socialization and training
Cat Care:
Clean cat cages
Feed cats
Groom and play with cats
Foster cats and kittens (Email Ellen if you are interested in being a foster.)
Help with adoption clinics
Help with special events
