FOSTER HOMES DESPERATELY NEEDED to care for abandoned kittens. Hilltop Humane Society desperately needs foster homes for the many kittens we have been picking up off the streets. Without foster homes, we cannot save them. We also desperately need donations to provide medical care for the cats and kittens in our care. Please? If you have a spare room and if you can foster kittens call Doris at (781) 963-7289 or dorisQf@verizon.net. Hilltop Humane Society will provide food, litter and medical care; we just need temporary homes for these kittens so we can adopt them out to loving homes. Fostering kittens is both rewarding and fun and you will be helping Hilltop Humane Society continue their endless work to help rescue animals. ____________________________________________ _________________________________________

"Seniors for Seniors" Program

Hilltop Humane Society's "Seniors for Seniors" adoption program places mature cats (typically over 7 years of age) with qualified senior citizens who are 60 years of age or older. Research tells us that companion animals, like cats, can help improve our physical and mental health. By adopting a new "best friend", you can experience the benefits of decreased heart rate and blood pressure that so many people feel when they are relaxing to pet their cat. Hilltop Humane Society's staff will help you select a companion that fits into your lifestyle and housing situation. The Seniors for Seniors program waives the adoption fee to help seniors who are living on a fixed income. With each adoption, your companion will be spayed or neutered and will receive their vaccinations before they go home with you. For More Information For more information about the Seniors for Seniors? adoption program, please call Barbara Finney at (781) 963-5875. Senior centers and program coordinators are encouraged to contact Hilltop Humane Society to learn more about the program.

Good Foster Homes Needed. We supply food, equipment, litter, and all medical care.

Adopting a Friend

All of our cats are welcomed back if for any reason the match does not work! Please call us. It is nice to hear how you and your new companions are doing.

Adults make wonderful companions.

(Click on "Partial Pet List" below for a few of our many adults and come visit us by calling ahead for an appointment.)

Special needs cats often mean special satisfaction to those willing to give just a little more! Sometimes special needs only means that the cat or kitten is shy and a shy cat needs someone who is willing to give the cat or kitten time to come around on its own. This cannot be forced and it has been proven that forcing the cat before it is ready can make him retreat even more. Some come around quickly and others take longer. A patient and loving home may be all that is needed for your special cat but in case the match is not right we will always accept our cats or kittens back. When your cat or kitten does come around the bond between you will be extra special.

Our Adoption Fees:

Adult cat: $100 and all adult cats are already spayed or neutered upon adoption. Kitten: $150 and all kittens are spayed/neutered

Who We Are

Hilltop Humane Society is a non-profit, all volunteer, no-kill organization dedicated to helping homeless and abused animals. One of our first priorities is to try to lleviate the tragic problem of pet overpopulation. We approach this in two ways: First, we try to educate the public to neuter and spay their household pets and encourage responsible pet ownership. We stress that pets are a commitment both emotionally and financially. Secondly, we have an ongoing feral cat program. Hilltop's volunteers have been actively involved in a trap, neuter, return (TNR) program of trapping, spaying/neutering, vaccinating and either finding suitable homes or returning cats to their caretakers in the Town of Randolph and surrounding towns.

Donations

Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to help us help the animals with ongoing medical care. You can either use the "DONATE" button above to go directly to PayPal or you can mail donations to the P.O. Box at the bottom of this page. Some non-monetary donations accepted for shelter use are: food, litter, paper towels, garbage bags, and blankets. If you would like to donate any items to the shelter, please call to arrange for pick up or drop off. THANK YOU for your generosity.

Volunteers

WANTED: A Few Good People -- A variety of volunteer opportunities are available, such as hands on work with the cats a few hours per week at the shelter, socializing one or two cats at your home, administrative duties including bookkeeping, fundraising, grantwriting, etc. Training available.
