COME MEETPEACHIE!! |
My friends here at the shelter have given me quite a few cute nicknames; half pint, short stack, and pocket-size pittie! I think my favorite is short stack since I'm as sweet as a pile o' pancakes, and what better to accompany your pancakes than a little Peachie on top?!? I am hoping that my new home will be with someone who can take me everywhere and show me what the world has to offer. I haven't had the opportunity to go on many adventures, so I could use some help with my shyness around new people and other dogs.
I was lucky enough to go on a sleepover with one of my friends here and he said I was a polite young lady that was happy to share the bed, but I did snore a bit. Do they make Breathe Right strips for dogs? I could make that part of my nightly routine after I brush my teeth and apply my moisturizer. If there are extra blankets around, I really love to be wrapped up like a bully burrito with just my cute little face poking out before I drift off to sleep. If you're willing to open up your heart and your home to me, I promise, you won't be disappointed!

We are a private charitable organization founded in 1873 for the prevention of cruelty to animals. The Society operates a full service animal shelter for homeless pets and works diligently in the community to promote responsible pet ownership. We are a private 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization that recieves no city, state or federal funds.
Please visit the shelter and spend time with the pet you are interested in adopting to make sure the pet is a good match for your family and vice versa. We ask that you complete a brief adoption application and provide either proof of homeownership or a copy of your lease with permission for the type pet you are interested in or your landlord's name and phone number so we may call and get permission. All members of your family should be present to meet your potential new pet and ensure a good match, likewise if you wish to adopt a second dog we ask that you bring your dog in for an introduction. Other animals in the home should be current on vaccinations and spayed/neutered before adopting a new pet.
Adoption/Visiting Hours:
