Who We Are
S.O.S. Rescue (Save Our Strays Rescue) is an all volunteer group devoted to the welfare of the innocent, unwanted, discarded, and yes ...strayed angels in Plaquemine and surrounding areas. We are a non-profit 501c3 organization. As of now we operate solely on donations and fundraisers. Please consider helping us to help more of these innocent angels. Help is needed in all areas...donations, fundraising, volunteering. We promise.... if you love animals it is by far the most rewarding (although sometimes stressful) experience you can hope for. All pets from S.O.S. are completely vetted including spayed/neutered.
Adopting a friend
S.O.S. is at Pet Smart on Siegen Lane in Baton Rouge every weekend for adoptions. Please come by and see our sweet, adoptable, pets. To adopt a pet from S.O.S. you must,
1. Be at least 21 years of age or older
2. Fill out an application for adoption
3. Speak with an adoption counselor
4. Consent to a vet reference check
5. Pay adoption fee of $100.00
6. Read and sign adoption contract promising to keep this new pet in the loving humane fashion which we are searching for and returning it to S.O.S. if you can not. **You must also be open to home visits**
