About Us

Adopting A Friend

Adopting a dog or puppy from us is a simple process. After the animal has been chosen, via Petfinder, Facebook, family/friends, word of mouth or any one of countless avenues, an adoption contract is completed and the requisite fee is collected. All of the dogs/puppies that we place are fully vetted- spayed or neutered, heart worm tested and started on heart worm preventative medicine, de-wormed for intestinal parasites, given flea preventative, vaccinated and microchipped. As some of our dogs may require additional veterinary services,  dental procedures and treatment for skin issues as examples, our adoption rate is not a set fee, but rather based on a sliding scale starting at $100 and running to $200. As such, adoption fees vary and reflect veterinary services received by each animal.

Come Visit Us

Virtually-  We can be found on Petfinder and on our Friends of the Animals of Baton Rouge Facebook page.

We have regular adoptions events every Saturday (except the first Saturday of the month) and Sunday at Orvis in Perkins Rowe from noon-3pm. The first Saturday of the month we set up our adoption table at the Art Market downtown on Main St from 8am-noon.

Sporadically we sponsor or attend adoption events at other venues around Baton Rouge. These are always announced in advance of the date on our Facebook page.
