About Us
Adopting A Friend
- You must be 18 years old to adopt an animal.
- We do allow out-of-state, out-of-Parish adoptions; but, you will need to drive to pick up the animal.
- All animals over 6 months of age will be spayed/neutered by us prior to adoption.
- Please remember adopted pets need time to adjust to a new home. Please be patient and give them at least 2 weeks to get used to their new surroundings and other animals in the home.
BEFORE ADOPTING A NEW PET.....ARE YOU READY?
Pet ownership is a huge responsibility and long-term commitment. All aspects should be considered before you adopt or look for a new pet. Do you have adequate space? Do you have the time to commit? Do you plan to move in the future? If yes, what would you do with your pet? Will you be able to afford your pet? All costs must be considered: food, annual veterinary care and potential emergencies, boarding, etc. And, remember, the cute puppy you see today could potentially be a 100 lb dog soon. Many animals end up homeless because people do not think through all aspects of owning a pet. Please consider all this before considering adoption and help us provide the safest and most stable home for you and your potential new friend.
ADOPTION FEES: We accept CASH OR MONEY ORDER only please.
Cats/kittens $40--includes at least one round of shots and for those under 6 months a certificate towards spay/neuter
Dogs/puppies $50--includes at least one round of shots and for those under 6 months a certificate towards spay/neuter

We are an organization dedicated to the humane treatment and overall welfare of animals within the communities of Jackson Parish, Louisiana.
Come Visit Us
We do have some adoptable animals at the Jackson Parish Animal Control Shelter as well as in foster homes. If you are interested in any of our adoptable pets, please call or email us to arrange a visit or go by the shelter to see who is there.
