WE NEED TO MOVE SEVERAL CATS CURRENTLY IN FOSTERS INTO NEW FOSTER HOMES - IF YOU CAN PLEASE FOSTER A CAT OR 2, PLEASE CONTACT US! Besides adopting and helping foster kittens and cats, we also need people to play with and socialize cats and kittens so they can be adopted into loving permanent homes. We are also looking for kind people with back yards and porches to accommodate feral and outside cats for our Trap-Neuter-Return trappers and cat caretakers friends.
Ask about our FOSTER-TO-ADOPT PROGRAM. We have special adoption prices for cats age one year or older and reduced adoption fees when you adopt 2 together.
Who We Are
NOLA's ARK (New Orleans Louisiana Animal Rescue after Katrina) is a volunteer organization who saves the lives of homeless cats and kittens when possible. NOLA's Ark places them into loving, forever homes. We also locate, screen, and coordinate with foster homes/families so cats and kittens can be fostered to transition to forever homes.
Please contact NolasArkCats@yahoo.com to adopt or if you can help our rescued kitties in any way!
Adopting a friend
1. Contact our NOLA's Ark volunteers to locate the kitten or cat you wish to adopt! 2. Discuss pet details with foster parent. 3. Complete adoption application. 4. Visit pet and decide whether you are interested in he/she as your new family member; 5. Complete an adoption agreement for your new family member. 6. Exchange paperwork and make adoption fee donation. Remember: You may foster to try out to adopt!
NOTE: Vaccinations, spay/neuter, flea preventative treatment, deworming for kittens, and health record are included in adoption fee.
Come Visit Us!
We greatly need foster homes for kittens and cats.
We also need visiting volunteers to spend time with our foster cats and kittens and help make some of the shy kitties more confident.
Donations for the care of our homeless-foster cats are always appreciated. Food and comfort items (toys, blankets, crates, beds, kitty litter, etc.) for our cats awaitng adoptions is greatly needed. Funds are also needed for the veterinary care of our foster cats. We have an account at a local vet to take care of medical needs and helping us with the costs would be most appreciated.
We are also looking for kind people with back yards and porches to accommodate feral and semi-feral outside cats for our Trap-Neuter-Return trappers and cat caretakers friends.
