Who We Are
Tater-Tot Big Dog Rescue, Inc. is a newly founded, non-profit organization focused on rehabilitating, fostering, and re-homing abandoned, strayed, or unwanted dogs in the Hammond area. This organization operates solely on donations and private contributions to house, feed, and provide proper medical treatment and care to its foster dogs. We began as a privately funded organization that would only aid and support one or two dogs at a time. We soon felt that the amount of dogs in need of our assistance was too great to run as a private group. We are now a non-profit organization with a goal to help as many dogs as possible.
Your donations and support will help the organization in fulfilling its mission in giving these dogs a second chance. Please click on the donate button above to give any amount you would like to offer.
Adopting a friend
E-mail is the best way to contact us at any time! We will send you an adoption application via e-mail within 2 - 3 days. The first step to adopting one of our fosters is to fill out the adoption application. Once received, we will review it and contact you for a personal phone interview. The next step is for you to meet the dog that interest you! This may be done through an in-home visit, or other chosen public meeting place. Meet and Greets are a good time to meet the dog and see how it responds to you and your family, both two legged and four! We then proceed with a one week minimum trial adoption period just to make sure all goes well! All adopters are required to sign an adoption contract and donate applicable adoption fee.
