We Care

We care for animals that are sick, starving, and all alone.  We care even if no one else does. If we cannot take your dog, it's not that we don't care, it's just that sometimes we don't have the space or the money. We will always care.



We Love

       We love all animals.  We love big black dogs and mangy puppies.  We love cats and kittens, birds and fish, frogs and toads, horses and cows, pigs and goats, possums and armadillos, and yes, we love people too.




We Inspire

       We inspire others with our passion about animals.  Some even say we are a little bit crazy. We are many things to many people, but we all inspire in our different ways.  We can laugh with you and we will cry with you if you need us. We live our life passionately because of animals.





We Believe

       We believe that life is precious. We believe God has a plan and that our little sanctuary is in the upper right hand corner of page 12 of that plan! We believe there is something we can learn from all of this. Something we can learn from each other as well.  We believe "as above, so below." We believe in Heaven animals are cherished, loved and treated fairly. And we believe someday things will be that way here too.  So we watch the stars as reminders that love, just like starlight, can come a long way, can brighten someone's path and can be seen in the eyes of innocent animals.

Starlight needs your help.

Starlight receives calls on a daily basis asking for help for a dog in need. What we are hoping for now is for someone to donate land with access to utilities to permanently house our sanctuary.  Land far enough away from the city that a good dog can exercise his lungs without disturbing anyone and scratch his belly without fear of the neighbors hollering "FLEAS!"  And we have not forgotten our cousins the cats, they need  homes too.  If you can help us with our quest for donated land please contact Starlight.
Our Wishlist
  • Donated material and labor to build dog kennels and dog runs.
  • Dog food, collars, leashes and dog trainers.
  • Metal bowls for food and water.
