Who We Are
4 PAWS RESCUE, INC. is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the well being of stray, abandoned, and neglected animals in Lincoln Parish. We strive to end euthanasia by requiring all adopted animals be spayed and neutered. We provide community education strongly advocating spaying and neutering, heartworm prevention and responsible pet ownership. Our mission is to make sure our rescued animals are placed in loving and caring homes. Until that time, 4 PAWS RESCUE, INC. offers these precious animals love, shelter, and care. We are here for them "Until they all have a home".

1. Since the shelter is in a temporary location, please call ahead to make an appointment to see the animals that are for adoption. Some dogs and all of our cats are in foster locations. The adoption fee for all our animals is $50.00. This includes a spay/neuter certifcate and the dogs first rabies shot. This is to be done with a veterinarian that agrees to the 4 Paws fee schedule. At this time the shelter is open on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1 to 5 pm,
2. Everyone is a volunteer at the shelter so please be patient when sending us e-mails or leaving phone messages. WE WILL respond to you as soon as we can.
3. Please understand that we can not guarantee the health of any animal at the shelter. Although we vaccinate our adoptable animals, kennel cough and worms can be common at animal shelters that house stray animals. We ask that you take your adopted pet to the vet within 7 days from adoption.
4. It is also a law in Louisiana that any animal adopted from a shelter MUST be spayed or neutered. The shelter provides the spay/neuter certifcate at the time of the adoption so you can have this done. Please don't break the law or help contribute to the pet overpopulation problem in our parish. If we do not receive the spay/neuter certificate back from the vet, saying this procedure was done by the date on your certifcate, WE WILL be calling you.
