We have adoption events on the THIRD Saturday of every month at Petcetera. 3205 magazine St, Uptown New Orleans. Our next adoption event is Saturday October 22, 2011! ! USED DOGS is offering LOW to NO COST Pit Bull/Pit Bull Mix Spay/Neuter!!! Donations are needed to cover incidental costs related to the spay/neuters. Moving into the new year, USED DOGS is VERY CONCERNED about the state of animal control in New Orleans. In case you aren't up to date on this, the LASPCA will no longer be contracted for animal control by the city of New Orleans. This is a very worrisome situation. As of Friday December 24, 2010, the LASPCA will no longer accept strays from the public. This will inevitable lead to MANY more dogs in need and MANY MORE calls to us. If you are able, we really anticipate needing more funds for vetting and spay/neter and the care and feeding of lots more dogs. Please help in you can. THANKS!

USED DOGS is small but consistent, companion animal 501 (c) 3 rescue organization, focused primarily on dogs. USED DOGS is majorly focused on spay/neuter and is committed to improving the experience of being a dog in the New Orleans area. USED DOGS hopes to achieve this through hands on rescue and animal care, spay/neuter and low income spay/neuter outreach, adoptions, education, and by fostering and encouraging a spirit of community and neighborhood support and participation in this cause.Adopting a friend
