News
PAAW will assist with the cost of spaying or neutering a pet, in the Lafayette, LA area. If you are interested in applying for assistance, please contact Lynne at 337-856-6628 . The assistance is limited to 50% of the regular cost of the spay/neuter up to $55.00. This money will be paid DIRECTLY to the Vet preforming the spay/neuter. All shots or other costs will be the responsibility of the pet owner.
Who We Are
PAAW operates out of foster homes. All of our animals are kept in homes, and are introduced to children, cats, other dogs, men and women. We're at the PetSmrt in Lafayette, LA on Saturdays from 12 pm to 3 p.m. and are happy to show any of our animals at a convenient time.
Our adoption fee of $100.00. All of our animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption up to date on vaccinations and the dogs are on monthly heartworm preventative; Cats are tested for FeLV and FIV. We have a wonderful experienced vet who works with us daily on keeping our pets healthy, and providing medical care for them.
Adopting a friend
You can visit us on Weekends at PetsMart in Lafayette, LA or contact us to arrange a visit to meet an animal in our care.
Shelter Needs
As with most volunteer organizations, PAAW is always looking for volunteers who want to work with companion animals. We operate our organization with the help of foster homes. We are currently looking for additional foster homes for temporary homing of abandoned pets.
