The GDCK is no longer going to be able to rescue Danes full-time, but will help in locating homes for needy Danes. We have placed 406 sweet Danes in 9 years and are now taking a long deserved break. We will still help with locating homes and help people find Danes-We also have a list of reputable breeder's; Danes truly are a wonderful breed. Who We Are
The Great Dane Club of Kentuckaina, Inc. (GDCK)was organized in 1971 to serve the whole state of Kentucky and our close Indiana friends. GDCK is staffed completely by volunteers. The GDCK is a breed club and rescue club all in one. We have several members that show Danes and several that just want to rescue Danes in need and find them loving happy homes. Come check out the pets currently on our site: Also new to rescue is BIG PAWZ Rescue located in Vine Grove, KY--they are on their 6th Dane~~ Randy's Bluegrass Dane Rescue in Winchester has now adopted 8 Danes. Kasey Vinson from Bardstown has been a blessing to the breed; she has helped with 7 Danes already!! THANKS EVERYONE! GDCK's ADOPTION FEE's are: 6mo & under $450-$300--7mo to 4yr $350-$250 -- 4yr & up $250-$150. Adoption fee's cover that all shot's are up-to-date, spay or neuter, heartworm check, and fecal unless otherwise stated.

Since we are a breed club, our Dane's are fostered by different volunteers. Please e-mail us and we will tell you what location the Dane you are interested in at. If you cannot adopt now and want to help, any donation of leads, bowls, toys or good ol' cash will gladly be accepted. We are always needing new Foster homes and volunteers to help do home inspections...please call if you can help in any of these area's.
