| In July of 2001, the county opened a new animal shelter near the site of the old shelter on Russellville Road. The shelter has approximately 6,100 square feet of space with 40 inside/outside runs, all under roof. There are two nurseries for separating puppies and kittens from the general population. |

| Tuesday-Friday, 10:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; Saturday, 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.; and closed to the public on Sunday and Monday. Drop offs may be made during business hours for the purpose of gathering information about the pets. |

| Transport Help: We are
continually looking for transport help from the shelter, please call
the shelter or email us. |
| Do you have old cloths, blankets
or placemats that are washable? Our animal friends would love to
use them! Donations of these ideas may be made during business hours. |

the Hopkinsville/Elkton Exit 9, travel East traveling approximately 2
miles, Shelter will be on Right. I24, exit at the Hopkinsville/Fort Campbell Exit 86, travel North on Fort Campbell Blvd for approximately 8 miles, turn Right at US-68 Bypass E/Dr Martin Luther King Jr Way/Hopkinsville Bypass travel approximately 4 miles, turn Left at KY-80W/US-68W/Russellville Road, the approximately 1 mile, Shelter will be on Left. |
