Do you have old, cloth, machine washable placemats? We can use cloth placemats for use in the our cat cages. They are ideal for cats for a more comfortable place to nap while they await new homes. Also, if you have old blankets or sheets, we can use those for the dogs in our kennels. We have a small supply of blankets, but go through them rapidly and we can use more at any time of the year. Please help provide a little comfort for the animals in our facility. Thanks for any donations! The animals thank you too!!!!!!!!!!

Who We Are
We are the Christian County Animal Shelter located in Hopkinsville, KY. (western part of the state) This is a REGIONAL shelter and serves 4 Kentucky counties here in the Pennyrile area of KY. Consequently, the shelter stays at full capacity. Those animals that are picked up as strays are held for 7 days before becoming available for adoption.
Adopting a friend
Dogs and cats are held at our facility for as long as possible. However, if you see an animal you like, please contact us as soon as possible!! Our shelter staff stay very busy and we will try to answer all your questions as soon as we can.
Adoption fees are $49.00 for dogs and puppies and $44.00 for cats and kittens. If the animal you are adopting is spayed or neutered, the fees are reduced!
Due to the large number of animals coming into our facility, we cannot hold an animal. Our policy is first come, first served. The shelter is very rescue friendly! We need a vet reference or 501c3 status report from all rescues.
