We can always use foster homes!!!! Animals always do so much better in a foster home setting rather than our adoption facility. We especially need foster homes for cats. If you are interested, please contact us for a Foster Home Application.
Our meetings are the 2nd Mondays of the month at Shoney's Restaurant in Hopkinsville. Come and join us! We can always use more members, more volunteers, more foster homes, etc. The more members we have, the more animals we can help.
Our Petfinder site is updated as soon as possible.
Transportation north can be arranged for pets, especially if you live in the Pennsylvania and/or Massachusetts area. Just email us for more details.
We do not have a phone at our adoption facility. You can contact us by the phone number listed on each pet's page. Long distance calls cannot be returned. We do adopt to families from out of state, but we do not ship animals. You must come to our facility to adopt. If you live out of our area, we require a vet reference from you.
Our facility is located in Hopkinsville on Skyline Drive in the last door of the Bed 'N Biscuit boarding facility building. If you visit our facility you will sometime hear dogs that are being boarded. Those dogs at the kennels already have owners who are paying a fee to have them boarded at that facility. We cannot adopt out those animals nor do we have access to them. Also, we DO NOT have a phone at our facility. You can see any of our animals at a mutually convenient time, if you contact us at 270-885-7014 or 270-887-4678. We cannot return long distance calls. If you do not keep your scheduled appointment, our animals cannot be held for you.
We are a small group who have a big job in finding these animals permanent, loving homes. We depend upon fundraisers, memberships, and donations for our very existence. We are always in need of supplies, especially blue top Tidy Cat clumping kitty litter. Any and all donations are very much appreciated.
We only place young puppies and kittens to those who agree to have the animal spayed and/or neutered when age appropriate. Our vets do spays and neuters at 6 months of age. We pay that cost ourselves, but we ask that you use our local vets for this purpose. A spay/neuter certificate will be given to new adopters at the time of adoption. All adult animals are spayed and/or neutered before placement. All our adoptables are vet checked, up to date on shots, wormed and checked for heartworms. The animals we have posted are waiting for permanent, loving homes.
PLEASE, If, for any reason, the adoption does not work out, we ask that the animal be returned to us!!!! We are always willing to take our animals back!!!! Call us and we will work with you on returning the pet to us. If you do not adhere to this, you will not be allowed to adopt other animals from us. Also, the local shelter will have a listing of those persons turning in humane society animals to their facility!
