Camp Jean seems to have become the Camp Home for Wayward Girl Dogs. And we continue to be the home for Wayward Girl Dogs! Our newest litter is 10 puppies who were born during the SEC tournament so the boys are named after..what else....KY Wildcat players! And the girls have been named after flowers. They were born 3/10 so watch for them on Petfinder in early May. Or find pictures now on Facebook at Camp Jean.
News
Camp Jean specializes in hard to adopt pets. Most will be available for adoption, but others will live out their lives here at Camp Jean. Your donations will help to provide medical care for both the adoptable pets as well as the sanctuary pets. We are not yet a 501(c)3, so donations are currently not tax deductible, but are greatly appreciated!
Meet our Camp Counselors. Dakota is an 11 year old Border Collie rescued from a humane society when he was only 4 months old. Dakota has been a permanent resident and is great for the incoming pets. He loves all other animals and helps to make them comfortable during their first days at camp.
Meet Jared, a 7 month old kitten born with deformed back legs. This doesn't stop him at all, he just kicks his back legs over his head and runs across the room. He was a camper for a few months until we decided he needed to stay. He is great for teaching puppies to respect cats!
Who We Are
Camp Jean is a happy rescue and sanctuary for hard to place animals. Most of the animals come from local shelters. Blind dogs, handicapped cats and neglected animals all find good food, warm shelter and an abundance of love at Camp Jean!
I also offer training and boarding for not only pets adopted from Camp Jean, but all others as well. I have been doing dog obedience training for more then twenty years and offer both group classes induvidual lessons.
If you would like to recieve Letters From Camp, our monthly newsletter featuring updates on adoptable and adopted pets, please email me.
Adopting a friend
If you are interested in adopting one of our pets, please email me for an application. All animals will be up to date on vaccines and spayed/neutered before adoption. If the puppy or kitten is too young, you will sign a separate spay/neuter agreement.
