WE ARE ADOPTING OUT ANIMALS THROUGH THIS LOCATION BUT ALSO SELLING THRIFT STORE ITEMS TO BENEFIT THE ANIMALS, 100% OF THE PROCEEDS FROM THE THRIFT STORE GOES TO THE ANIMALS!

MEET POOR BAMBINO! SOMEONE CUT HALF HIS TAIL AND HALF OF ONE OF HIS LEGS OFF!!! HE NOW NEEDS YOUR HELP!!!

UPDATE 1-8-10:

Meet Poor little Bambino! Bambino came to us with one of his feet & half of his tail cut off! We rushed him to the vet to get checked out and although we don't know who did this to him we do know that he is sweet as pie!

He is about 6 months old, and he is still getting use to hobbling around on only 3 legs. When he goes to get neutered the vet will evaluate his portion of leg that is left and at that time they will take off the rest of the leg. The reason for this is so that he will learn to walk on 3 legs and he will not want to continue to rub the missing foot area raw.

Anyway he is a super sweet black and brown Lab and Border Collie mix puppy and he is a cute little thing!

Bambino has found a wonderful home to go to but we need to raise the money for him to have the rest of his leg amputated! Right now he is hobbling around on 3 1/2 legs from where some horrible person cut half his leg off. He has been seen by a vet and we need to raise the funds for his surgery ASAP!!! His surgery is going to cost $500.00! Right now no one has donated anything towards his vet bill. Even if you can donate $5.00 it will help! Please donate today if you can! This little boy deserves it!!!

Who We Are

Hello and Welcome to Country Critters Animal Rescue's Petfinder page.

-We are a non-profit animal rescue located in Frankfort, KY.

-The animals we accept on a REGULAR basis are: Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Hamsters, Gerbils, Rats, Mice, Chinchillas, Ferrets, Degus, Sugar Gliders, Turtles, Hermit Crabs, Freshwater Fish, Frogs, and Geckos.

-Other animals that we will take on a CASE BY CASE BASIS are: Dogs, Cats, Puppies, Kittens, Lizards, Birds, Barnyard Animals, and baby wildlife needing to be nursed before being released into the wild.

The reason we must take these animals on a case by case basis is we must make sure we have time and capacity to care for the animals we already have, and we always try to leave room for the handicap and senior animals left in shelters that other rescues would not help.

-As of 1-8-10 (Last updated) we have a small facility, but particularly with the dogs and cats would rather work out of foster homes. If you would like to help our rescue efforts and apply to become a foster home, please contact us today!
