Bracken County Animal Shelter

Our Adoptable Pet List

~~~~Who We Are~~~~
We are a friendly rural shelter that's looking for good homes for great dogs. We also encourage fostering of dogs. The Shelter Director and Animal Control Officers is Pat Taylor. We also have great volunteers like Phillis Thornsbury, Stephanie Taylor and Tim Jarvis. We will work with students who need to volunteer for school projects.
~~~~Shelter Hours~~~~

Adoption & Viewing time is from 10:30 am - 12 noon Monday through Friday and Saturday by appointment. We are closed on Sundays and Holidays. From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday we investigate domestic animal neglect, animal abuse and pick up animals on a complaint bases.

~~~~Adopting a friend~~~~
Our adoptions are simple, we require the purchase of a dog tag for $5.00 and a 40 lb bag of dog food. We require spay / neuter within 40 days of adoption for all dogs and can give you info to have that done for approx $50. Since our adoptions are so reasonable we greatly appreciate donations of dog food, care items, or other pet items new or used. Thanks!
