Kentucky Working K-9 Training & Rescue is a training facility that rescues homeless dogs of working group breeding on a space availability basis. We have experience training for: Basic-Advanced Obedience, Narcotic, Tracking, Bomb, Seizure Alert, Glucose Alert, Mobility Assistance, Handler Protection, Article Find, and many other places in which you have seen dogs being used.
ADOPTION PROCEDURES.....If you see a dog you are interested in, call us. Our dogs are trained differently to do different things, no two dogs are alike, so be prepared to be open and honest about what you are looking for in a dog when you call. The success of your adoption will depend on this more than anything else. We will conduct a brief telephone interview and reference check. Once complete you will be invited to come and meet the dog(s) you are interested in. Dogs are shown to potential adopter in environment in which they were trained, and potential adopter can try dog for themselves. NOTE: If needed, a Handler Instruction Course will be provided to you for acclimation of your skills to your trained dog Free of Charge. I looked at all the caged animals in the shelter...the cast-offs of human society.
I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness and betrayal.
And I was angry.
"God," I said, "this is terrible! Why don't you do something?"
God was silent for a moment and then He spoke softly.
"I have done something," He replied.
"I created you.”
