ABOUT US
Our purpose is to help find neglected and orphaned animals loving homes. We work with the Murray-Calloway County Animal Shelter, along with other local volunteers to help foster out these animals and find them good homes. All of our animal rescues come from the Murray-Calloway County animal shelter or near by kill shelters. We rescue the animal the day that they are going to euthanize it, get it up to date on all shots, wormed, tested, and spayed/neutered, microchippied, and try to find it a loving home. Sometimes they just need a little more time. Unfortunately we cannot accept owner surrenders. Right now we have our hands full with trying to save the animals who are out of second chances and have no one else to turn to.
PLEASE if you are considering giving up your pet, try to find it a good home before you take it to a shelter. 70% of owner surrender's at shelters are euthanized as soon as you leave. This is because they are usually overcrowded and have to keep the stray animals for at least 5 days. The shelter is a place for animals that are lost or orphaned. It does not need to be a place where you can just drop off your animal when you don't want it anymore.
BE RESPONSIBLE!!!They are living, breathing animals, that trust, love, and depend on you to take care of them. Please keep that in mind when you realize that you cannot keep him/her anymore and try to find your animal a good home. Otherwise you are turning your back on all of the unconditional love and compassion that they have only known to show you and you are commiting the rest of their short lived life on a cold shelter floor, scared and wondering what they did so wrong to get left there. No more pets on the head, or belly rubs. No more quiet nights sleeping in your bed, or the smell of canned dog food, just the relentless barking and smell of fear until their cage door opens.

ADOPTION FEE
Our adoption fees for cats and dogs that have been vet checked, up to date on shots, tested, wormed, spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and on heartworm and flea prevention are adoptable for $150.00. Pets also receive a bath, toe nail trim, and ear cleaning before going to their new home!

Come and visit our booth at the Peddler's Mall in Murray, KY. We have dog and cat treats, doggie clothes, rescue calendars, and other donated items. All proceeds go directley to benefit our rescue animals and animals at the Murray Calloway County Animal Shelter.
NEWS
We are currently renovating the Murray - Calloway County Animal Shetler. We have raised enough money to have the old broken and rusted wire kennels removed and new concrete walls put up. We have had them sealed, painted, and new gates put on the front of the kennels. This will help cut down on the spread of disease and the stress level of the dogs there since they won't be able to see each other and bark so much. We have also helped repair the ceiling over the dog kennels as it was falling in and have also landscaped outside the building with trees, shrubs and different plants to make the outside look a little nicer as well. We still have more plans for the shelter as far as renovations go.
