***Please note that we are no longer able to take in any more needy Pits due to lack of foster homes. However, we still courtesy post needy Pit Bulls from other rescues and families. If you are wanting to rehome your Pit Bull, please look on pbrc.net for Pit friendly organizations to help you if you need help placing a Pit Bull. Go to the "Dogs to Adopt" link in the upper left hand corner. Next, click on your region. The next page that pops up will have all of the Pit friendly rescues in your area. A lot of rescues will help with out of state Pits as well. We hope this helps some!
Redeem-A-Bull Rescue and our Pitties would like to praise two local citizens for their unbelievable faith and generosity. Sherri Marcoski and Ellen Mcknight both have volunteered their time to help save our bullies and pitch in whenever and wherever they could be of service. Without outstanding citizens like Sherri and Ellen, our bullies would not stand a chance against the breed's reputation, media, as well as irresponsible ownership.
With great thanks and lots of Pittie kisses---

NIGEL
(If you have been to this page before,
please hit refresh in your browser as we have added new pics of Nigel!)
Poor Nigel was found curled up in a ball, injured on the side of the road. His foot was nearly severed in half! However, Nigel was lucky and only had to have 3 toes amputated. Now fully healthy and hearty, Nigel
has not shown an ounce of resentment towards anyone or
anything. He adores people and lives life to the fullest...minus 3 toes :) ! Nigel LOVES tennis balls, kongs, and nylabones. All he wants in life is a second chance at happiness and a loving family who won't show him the abuse his former "owner" displayed towards him. Oh, and a good belly
rub! Please click on the "Adoptable Pittie List" above to find out more about Nigel and how you can help him!
Who We Are
We are a small, non-profit organization dedicated to bettering the lives of the misrepresented American Pit Bull Terrier. We rescue Pit Bulls that are in high-kill shelters, abused, or those who are unwanted. We focus on showing them the love and compassion that so many have never seen in their lives. All of our dogs are temperament tested and have passed with flying colors. We adopt to approved, indoor homes only. Please consider adopting a rescued Pit Bull today!
Adopting a friend
Our dogs are very special to us. With that in mind, please be aware of the adoption procedures that are applied when wanting to adopt a needy Pit Bull. We require INDOOR HOMES ONLY! Adoption decisions will be made determining any BSL (Breed Specific Legislations) regulations. We require a vet reference as well as a home check. Redeem-A-Bull Pit Bull Rescue has the right to refuse any application when deemed necessary. All information is processed with discretion.
In The News
Bitsy (a former Redeem-A-Bull rescue) has just been awarded her AKC Good Canine Citizen Certification!!! Big congratulations go out to Bitsy and her awesome owner Scott for all of their hard work and effort!!!
In Memory
The Rescue Poem
Once I was a lonely dog,
Just looking for a home.
I had no place to go,
No one to call my own.
I wandered up and down the streets,
in rain, in heat, and snow.
I ate what ever I could find,
I was always on the go.
My skin would itch, my feet were sore,
My body ached with pain.
And no one stopped to give a pat
Or to gently say my name.
I never saw a loving glance,
I was always on the run.
For people thought that hurting me
was really lots of fun.
And then one day I heard a voice
So gentle, kind and sweet,
And arms so soft reached down to me
And took me off my feet.
"No one again will hurt you"
Was whispered in my ear.
"You'll have a home to call your own
where you will know no fear.
You will be dry, you will be warm,
you'll have enough to eat
And rest assured that when you sleep,
your dreams will all be sweet."
I was afraid I must admit,
I've lived so long in fear.
I can't remember when I let
A human come so near.
And as she tended to my wounds
And bathed and brushed my fur
She told me 'bout the rescue group
And what it meant to her.
She said, "We are a circle,
A line that never ends.
And in the center there is you
protected by new friends.
And all around you are
the ones that check the pounds,
And those that share their home
after you've been found.
"And all the other folk
are searching near and far.
To find the perfect home for you,
where you can be a star."
She said, "There is a family,
that's waiting patiently,
and pretty soon we'll find them,
just you wait and see.
And then they'll join our circle
they'll help to make it grow,
so there'll be room for more like you,
who have no place to go."
I waited very patiently,
The days they came and went.
Today's the day I thought,
my family will be sent.
Then just when I began to think
It wasn't meant to be,
there were people standing there
just gazing down at me.
I knew them in a heart beat,
I could tell they felt it too.
They said, "We have been waiting
for a special dog like you."
Now every night I say a prayer
to all the gods that be.
"Thank you for the life I live
and all you've given me.
But most of all protect the dogs
in the pound and on the street.
And send a Rescue Person
to lift them off their feet."

This poem is dedicated to all of the unfortunate souls that suffer from the hands of neglect,
abuse, torture, and the cold feeling of abandonment and desolation. You are not forgotten.
May you find peace and solace at the Rainbow Bridge.
