Step
1: Meet the pets. Come visit us here at the animal shelter or at an
event we are involved in (see news for updates) and get up close and personal
with your possible new best friend. Step
2: Consider taking a pet on a trial basis. We offer a "Three-Day
Trial" so that you can take a pet home with you and keep it for up to three days
to ensure the animal will be able to properly blend with your home environment
(children, other pets, other family members) BEFORE you complete an
adoption. The trial is a free service. We do require a contract to
be signed (Click here to preview the
terms) by someone over the age of 18. Step
3: The Adoption Fees. We require that all animals adopted must been
seen by a veterinarian and be spayed or neutered. The adoption fees vary
according to the type of animal and its veterinary past. Please read the
following to learn more about how this works
You will not be charged the
veterinary fees you see above. You are still required to take your newly
adopted pet to a veterinarian and we must verify the appointment to do so before
you can take the pet home. We will later also verify that the spay/neuter
procedure has been completed. Step
4: Sign the Adoption Contract. Click here
to view
the terms. Step 5: Have your new
pet microchipped. We offer implantation of HomeAgain microchips into your
pet at the time of the adoption. There is no charge for this
procedure. You will later need to register your personal information with
HomeAgain in order to complete the ID process. Step 6: You are ready
to go. Grab a free adoption pack (includes sample foods, informational
booklets, coupons, etc), grab your new pet, and look forward to your new life
with your new friend!
