Our pet of the month introduces himself...
Our PET OF THE MONTH is " Bowser". Bowser is a large male brown Bloodhound mix dog. He is approximately 3 yrs. old and is in a foster home, not at the shelter. Please call Lisa at 859-235-0154 for info on how to adopt Bowser.
News
The Humane Society of Harrison County meets the first Thursday of each month at the Cynthiana Presbyterian Church at 7pm. If you are interested in helping the pets in our county, please come join us and sit in on a meeting. You'll find we are very busy and have lots going on. Everyone can do something, no matter how small and it all adds up to make a big difference in the lives of the unwanted, homeless pets given up to the Flora Shropshire Animal Shelter! EVERYONE IS WELCOME!!

IF YOU HAVE A PET THAT IS NOT ALTERED, AND LIVE IN HARRISON COUNTY, PLEASE PUT YOUR NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER AND DESCRIPTION OF PET ON A POST CARD AND LEAVE IT AT THE SHELTER FOR THE MONTHLY DRAWING.

"FREE SPAY/NEUTER DRAWING" If you are a resident of Harrison County, Kentucky, you can enter the drawing by placing a post card with your name, address, phone number, and description of your dog or cat. Please leave this information at the Shelter, or at the County Judge Executive's Office at the CourtHouse. The Humane Society of Harrison County draws 20 names each month, AND WILL PAY FOR THE SURGERY FOR YOUR PET, if your name is drawn!! This offer is not good toward an adoption from the Flora Shropshire Animal Shelter. Only one entry per household, per family, per year. Who We Are
The Humane Society of Harrison County is a non-profit organization, separate from, but working closely with the Flora Shropshire Animal Shelter, to promote animal welfare within the community and adoptions at the shelter. ALL OF THE MONEY DONATED TO THE HARRISON COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY IS USED TO HELP THE HOMELESS PETS AT THE SHELTER IN HARRISON COUNTY!!
Adopting a Friend
Adoption Fees are as follows:
Dogs: Female $75
Male $65
Cats: Female $58
Male $43
This fee covers Vet exam, rabies shot, spay /neuter surgery, ALL GOOD ONLY AT THE HARRISON VET CLINIC, CYNTHIANA, KENTUCKY. 50 % off grooming at the Animal House in Cynthiana, 1 YR. DOG LICENSE. All animals must be spayed/neutered upon adoption!!!

SATURDAY 8:30am - NOON.

Volunteering and Donations
Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer at the Flora Shropshire Animal Shelter contact Joan at 859-234-1492. We have lots of neat stuff to do. If you are an animal lover and want to make a difference in the lives of shelter pets, please VOLUNTEER NOW! Duties would be to walk, socialize animals, brush, Frontline, and love the animals at the shelter. We NEED YOUR HELP NOW!!! All volunteers must sign a release form, and be interviewed, and go thru an orientation before volunteering. Only pet lovers need apply!! If you can give ONE HOUR a WEEK< We can make things happen!
