Adoptions are increasing but so are the number of animals we impound. We are always looking for reliable persons in our community to provide foster care for animals awaiting transfers to Denver Dumb Friends Leage or other rescues. If you are interested in becoming a foster home give us a call and we will be glad to fill you in on the details.
Who We Are
We are a city/county animal pound in Southwest Kansas. We are allowed to accept animals only from Finney County.
Adopting a friend
Adoption rates are $115 for a male dog, $135 for a female dog, $95 for a male cat, and $120 for a female cat.
$11.00 of the fee is the actual adoption fee (which includes a parvo/distemper vaccination and deworming for dogs)
$17 of the fee goes towards a rabies vaccination.
The remaining fee goes towards either a spay or neuter. After the spay or neuter is done, the adopter can apply to our local Humane Society to recieve a rebate of $25.
Come Visit Us!
We are located in the south end of Garden City between The Lee Richardson Zoo and the Finney County Fairgrounds on Isabel Street.
Our hours are Monday through Friday 11-12 and 1-5 and on Saturday we are open from 1-5. We are closed on Sundays and Holidays.
