Who We Are
The City of Clay Center Animal Shelter serves the City of Clay Center. Currently we only work with dogs and are unable to take surrenders. However, we are willing to place pets in need of homes on Petfinder.com for families wanting to place there pets in new homes. We will place all types of animals in this website for those in need.
If you are in need of assistance placing a family pet in a new home please email us or call the number below to receive placement assistance.
Strays are held for 3 business days before being available for adoption. Then have 7 business days to be adopted.

*Dog Food
*2 Dog Houses for large size dogs
*Food and Water Bowls / Buckets
We have chosen Kuranda dog beds for our boarding facilities
because they are so good for our dogs. We still don't have enough
for all of our kennels. If you would like to donate a bed so another
dog can sleep in proper comfort, please

Adopting a friend
If you would like to meet one or a few of our dogs please contact the number below for hours of operation or to schedule an appointment. The Shelter requires a $75 spay/ neuter deposit that will be refunded after the dog is spayed/ neutered. There is also a $25 Adoption fee that is non-refundable.
For private adoption we ask for a donation to the shelter for private pets placement on Petfinder.com and time to reply emails and telephone calls.
