News
We are building a new shelter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We broke ground for the shelter on March 26, 2008. The shelter will be in the industrial park north of the Junior College. The building should be done by the first of June. We have also changed our name to better reflect the area we cover. We take in pets from more than just Pratt County and we are not a county run shelter. We are a non-profit shelter. We have enough funds to get the building up and running but we are needing donations to finish the inside of the building and for new kennels. We will have 24 kennels when we are done. We currenty have 9. We will also be able to house more cats. WE ARE RAISING FUNDS FOR A NEW SHELTER!!!

We ask for your assistance in the endeavor of building a new facility. Keep a look out for local fund-raisers for our new building.
All donations to the Pratt Area Humane Society are tax deductible, as we are a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization.

Donations may also be mailed to:

PAHS Policies

All individuals/families interested in adopting a PAHS animal must complete an adoption application. Please email us at:
pratthumane@yahoo.com for an adoption application.

The following video reveals the truth which people try to sweep under the rug; to turn their heads. It refutes the argument that spaying and neutering is not necessary. Tell the world, and let them choose. Spay now....OR PAY LATER "Think occasionally of the suffering of which you spare yourself the sight." Albert Schweitzer

Currently, due to changes in our facility, PAHS shelter will be unable to operate as an open admission shelter. Due to only having limited kennel space with the demolition, acceptance of animals will be from the City/County Animal Control Officer ONLY until we are able to erect a new building and function at full capacity, again.

PAHS Mission

The goal of Pratt Area Humane Society is to provide a safe and healthy environment for the stray/unwanted pet population. If pets are unable to be reunited with owners, we desire to match animals with loving, permanent homes as well as educate the public of pet overpopulation and its effects on a community. The educational aspect of the organization is still under construction, but it is a long-term goal to introduce, not only our local community, but EVERYONE to the truth about spaying and neutering their pets.

Feel like your pet isn't behaving the way he should? Check out these cool, free training videos!!

The following book is a glimpse into the life of a shelter worker. It's enlightening and truthful. America needs the truth!
