We are in our new shelter! We broke ground for the shelter on March 26, 2008 and moved in during September 2008. The shelter is in the industrial park north of the Pratt Community College. We have also changed our name to Pratt Area Humane Society to better reflect the area we cover. We take in pets from more than just Pratt County. We are a not-for-profit corporation, operating under the care of our all volunteer Board of Directors.
We appreciate all the donations and volunteers that have made this possible. THIS IS YOUR SHELTER!!!! Please come out to visit and grab a leash and walk a dog. Everyone is welcome.!!! We have volunteer training once a month. Even if you only have an hour a month we have a place for you to be of service to the dogs and cats. They love to be handled and it helps make them more adoptable. Plus it makes you feel good and it is fun. We want to see you here.
WE ARE RAISING FUNDS TO COMPLETE THE NEW SHELTER!!!
We ask for your assistance in the endeavor of completing the new facility, making improvements and paying off our small construction loan. . Keep a look out for local fund-raisers. All donations to the Pratt Area Humane Society are tax deductible, as we are a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization.
The following video reveals the truth which people try to sweep under the rug; to turn their heads. It refutes the argument that spaying and neutering is not necessary.

br> PAHS Mission
The goal of Pratt Area Humane Society is to provide a safe and healthy environment for the stray/unwanted pet population. If pets are unable to be reunited with owners, we desire to match animals with loving, permanent homes as well as educate the public of pet overpopulation and its effects on a community. The educational aspect of the organization is still under construction, but it is a long-term goal to introduce, not only our local community, but EVERYONE to the truth about spaying and neutering their pets.

The following book is a glimpse into the life of a shelter worker. It's enlightening and truthful. America needs the truth! No Voice Unheard
