The Rockin’ Paw Rescue & Adoption Network, Inc. (RPRAN) is an independent, not-for-profit humane society/animal welfare organization established in 2007. RPRAN is an IRS recognized 501c3 not-for-profit public charity. All contributions to RPRAN are tax deductible.
Foster homes are licensed by the Kansas Animal Health Department. We currently have homes that specialize in the following breeds: American Cocker Spaniels, English Cocker Spaniels, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, & Golden Retrievers. For other breeds we have an extensive network of contacts to provide referral and rehoming services for the public.
OUR MISSION: RPRAN is dedicated to serving rural communities through innovative approaches to sheltering, adoption strategies, public education about responsible pet guardianship, and available spay/neuter programs. The organization intends to improve the lives of companion dogs and people through advocacy, education, and support. The main priority is to facilitate the rescue and adoption of stray abandoned, neglected, abused, and surrendered companion dogs and to place them into lifelong, committed, loving homes.
A volunteer will schedule appointments to meet the dogs available for adoption. An approved adoption application and a veterinarian reference check, and home site approval is required prior to visiting the pet you wish to adopt. Prospective pet parents are asked to complete a preliminary adoption profile, visit with an adoption counselor, and spend time with the pet before finalizing any paperwork. All applications are processed in the order received, but an adoption is made to the best application received for each of our companion animals. All applicants must provide a vet reference on the adoption application. Home visits often occur on each adoption. All pets will be spayed or neutered prior to coming home with their new families. The reference checking process, and spay or neuter surgery for your pet will create a 24-72 hour hold period prior to the completion of the adoption. You will be asked to sign an adoption contract, and pay an adoption fee. The adoption fee includes a spay/neuter surgery, complete physical exam, wormer, bordatella vaccination, nail trim, heartworm test, fecal evaluation, DHLPP vaccination, Rabies vaccinations, Heartgard and Frontline preventatives, and any emergency veterinary care needed upon intake. All dogs/puppies are also micro chipped if budget allows. Adoption fees range from $50 to $250 based on the health condition, age of the pet, and expenses incurred for each pet in our care. The adoption fee helps cover expenses incurred by the Rockin' Paw Network.
