All of our cats and kittens and puppies stay in foster homes during the week. We bring them to Mariposa Veterinary Center on Saturdays.

We want to help you find the perfect feline or canine match. We have many kittens, cats and puppies available for adoption at this time with adoption fees as low as $50 for a fully vetted cat. This includes the spay or neuter, testing for feline leukemia, up to date on shots, worming, treated for fleas and earmites. Through the support of some wonderful vets, we are also able to offer complimentary well-visits with the adoption of one of our cats or kittens or puppies.
Our goal is to find a lifelong match for the adopter and the dog or cat. We have dog, cat and kid friendly animals available, as well as special needs kittens and cats. Please contact us for an application.....just call 913-422-1911 or e-mail kittycityks@aol.com and we will get back to you asap!!
Who We Are
Kitty City Kansas Rescue is a no-kill 501 C3 non-profit group of rescuers and individuals who have an affinity for cats and dogs! We are a proud part of the Kansas City Ray of Hope program which is a partnership between the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City and Kansas City Kansas Animal Control. We take special needs kittens and cats from the Ray of Hope Program that are too young or ill to thrive in the traditional shelter environment, and Siamese and Maine Coon mixes. We then place them in foster homes and nurture them until they are old enough and healthy enough to be adopted. Because of The Ray of Hope Program, Kansas City Kansas Animal Control has gone from a high kill facility to a no-kill shelter.

Since many of the animals we take in are very small or many times ill, monetary support is always needed to help with medical expenses. Or just make a general donation. Since we are an all volunteer group....all monetary donations go towards the care of the animals...not pay checks!!!

Because of the alarming number of cats and dogs that are euthanized in shelters and animals that are left to fend for themselves on the streets, we strongly support spay/neuter and responsible pet ownership.
We do not ship our animals and we only adopt within a 2 hour driving radius of the Kansas City metro area.
