UPDATE: If you have lost your pet in Miami County, please call the Police Department ASAP to see if it was picked up by Animal Control. If you are looking to adopt an animal please email us what breed/size etc you are looking for and we will happily help you!!!
We will not be posting ads and/or pictures of the animals on Petfinders for a while.....so it's important that you give us a call or email.
FLOOD ANIMALS HAVE ALL BEEN PLACED NOW! Our adoption event was a great success!!!! But we still need help. Our small vacility is now full again. Several medium to large dogs MUST be moved ASAP!!! We do want to have to choose life, when a new dog comes in today needing an empty cage

We are RESCUE FRIENDLY! No cost for shelter to rescue transfer.

Who We Are
We are the City of Osawatomie Pound-Animal Control operated by the Osawatomie Police Department.
We are rescue friendly yet also a kill facility for we are a TINY facility and serve several towns in Miami County.
If you have lost your pet in Miami County, please give us a call! We get strays in on a regular basis whom never find their owners.
Adopting a friend
We have new dogs and cats coming and going each day. If you don't see the perfect pet you are looking for, give us a call. We might have it now!
Watch for our ads in the Read It Free newspaper for a list of available dogs and cats ready for adoption! We also keep the website updated almost daily!
Dog Adoption fee $100.00
RESCUE PULL FEE - we do not have a pull fee for licensed rescues. We only charge the cost of S/N if we've already had it done. Otherwise, we only request a "donation" to help cover costs and to keep the "City" rescue friendly!
