WE ARE A 501 (c) (3) Not for Profit Organization. Our goal is to help as many animals as we possibly can. Due to the economy and irresponsible pet owners there is and always will be a dog waiting to take the place of one we adopt out. Please have your pet spayed/neutered. We take in strays - unwanted - lost - other rescue organizations - kill shelter dogs. We don't just take in the healthy perfect dogs - we take in the sick - emaciated - injured as we can afford to do so. We just took in an emaciated GSD stray with a rotten tooth (had her vetted immediately) A Little Maltese with an injured and infected eye that the owners could not afford the vet care needed (we got him eye surgery the next day & unfortunately the eye had to be removed) An emaciated tiny chihuahua only 4.75 lbs. standing in the pouring rain (now has gained 1 lb in just two weeks and sweet as pie) A 15 year old blind 3.2 lb yorkie no longer wanted by their owners (tooth pulled - daily meds - now has hair-had little upon arrival) A runt boxer puppy with a birth issue that caused the rear foot and about an inch of the leg to whither away - pup will have hernia surgery, be spayed, and leg amputated at 16 weeks. Of course no one wanted her because she was different. It is never ending.

Who We Are

We have been fostering for the Terre Haute Humane Society for 3 years and we will continue to assist them when we can. During that time we have been asked for help in assisting to place dogs in new homes. We finally decided it was time to start our own rescue to hopefully place dogs in new homes without causing any more burden on the shelter. We are Non for Profit 501 (c) (3) and registered in the State of Indiana.. We make NO profit from helping the animals we take in - instead we lose thousands. We are always willing to provide financial information to anyone wanting to know - we have nothing to hide from anyone. We feel like it is what we are supposed to do in this short time allowed on this earth. The dogs have no voice and life isn't always fair for them. We do our best to only place our dogs in good, FOREVER homes. Donations are greatly appreciated. There are some dogs that will have great medical needs. We are a no kill rescue and if no home is found and another rescue cannot take the dog to be adopted then the dog will remain with us or in foster care for the remainder of their life.

Adopting a friend

All adoptions require a completed application. Application is reviewed and most of the time approved. There are rare instances when we have to deny an adoption. Please email us for a copy of the application. It doesn't take long to complete. Please understand why we ask questions - we want to make sure the dogs we rescue will have a good loving home for the rest of their life. Please do not be upset with us if we deny your application. We only have your and the dog's best interest at heart. We will be happy to provide an explanation as to why you were denied.

Come Visit Us!

Visits with our dogs are by appointment. Evenings and just about any time on the weekend we are available. We will be having adoption events and will try to keep you posted with the time and locaion of the events.   Please call 812-264-7239 ANY time and we will get back to you ASAP.
