Even if you're unable to adopt at the moment, there are many other volunteer opportunities available at ACA, including:
Transporting pets to new homes or vet appointments, foster parenting, assisting at fundraisers or adopt-a-thons, interacting with shelter animals, and taking pictures for our Petfinder page.
Of course, monetary donations are always appreciated. You can even sponsor a pet in honor of a loved one as a meaningful gift for the person who has everything! And don't forget one small gesture that is a big help to us, and tell all your friends and family about ACA.
All pets from ACA have been placed with committed fosters who take the time to get to know the animals, help them acclimate to home life, and treat any medical issues.
Adoption fees vary depending on the animal but generally are $50-75 for cats and $125 for dogs and include spay/neuter and rabies vaccine, microchip, shots appropriate for the animals age, and heartworm or FIV/FELV testing. When you add up the cost for just those things, the adoption fee pays for itself!
If you see a pet who catches your eye, please use the listed contact info to learn more!
Another Chance for Animals is a group of volunteers that works with the city-run Animal Control shelter in Evansville, Indiana to help find homes for as many pets as possible.
We foster pets, create online listings to advertise pets available for adoption, raise funds for spaying/neutering and other medical care, and do whatever it takes to match the perfect pet with the perfect home.
We believe every pet deserves another chance at life in a happy home, and we will do our part to ensure that someday, pets will no longer have to be euthanized simply because they are unwanted.
