Want a dog but can't afford another one? Open your heart and become an ABRA foster today! We severely need SMALLER DOG foster homes for dogs 20# or less and medium, up to 50#.
Your donation benefits our homeless pets! From THREE eye amputations, 14 heartworm treatments, a breast tumor removed, four emergency spays, treating puppies attacked by a coyote, two dogs with broken legs, a dog with deformed legs, a dog with cataracts, and a dog with a skin infection. Please remember you are giving a donation toward the care of our animals. We do not allow or offer refunds, however, most of our dogs and cats are available for trial to ensure a good fit. You MUST specify trial on your application. Please keep in mind that although some dogs may come to us needing intensive care or expensive medical treatment, our donations remain as low as possible for us to continue our rescue mission. We are volunteers; there is no payroll.

If there is a dog or cat you're interested in meeting, please email gabrina@gmail.com to arrange a meeting or ensure that particular pet is out that weekend. PLEASE EMAIL AT LEAST 1 DAY IN ADVANCE. Our fosters have jobs and families and it takes coordination to get our foster pets out to meet everyone! Please note we do NOT accept phone calls regarding adoptions. We do NOT accept owner surrenders or found pets.
Who We Are
We are a small but dedicated group of volunteers providing in-home foster care for dogs of all breeds, ages, and sizes that have come from open-admission shelters. Our pets are all spayed or neutered (puppies too young to be altered are released on a strict contract), are given initial vaccines, a rabies shot, dewormed, and most are microchipped.
We have many ways to volunteer from fostering to adoption events as well as crafty people who want to donate items to sell at our adoptions. Please contact us for info on ways to help!
Adopting a friend
Anyone looking to adopt MUST fill out an application and be approved prior to taking a pet home. All of our pets are or will be spayed and neutered and there are no exceptions. Our application is available via email as well as at adoption events.Pre application available here
