News

THANK YOU to all who have adopted from us. You have saved the lives of those K9's. We are now working with volunteers and foster parents to place more canines as well as being able to expand our Rescue. This is wonderful news and thank you to all who are helping us.

Who We Are

We are a small canine rescue located in rural Indiana. We believe that every shelter dog deserves a FOREVER home. No dog should be confined to a shelter cage for the remainder of their life. Our goal is to find every dog we can a new and loving forever home and to eliminate the selfish need to breed while shelter dogs die.

Adopting a friend

Please take into consideration the time and effort it will take for your new friend to adapt to your home and family life. Not all dogs will completely settle in within a week or two some may take a bit longer. This is a huge adjustment for your family and your new dog/puppy alike. Most dogs have been through a lot in their short lives, lots of changes, sometimes abuse and mistreatment, abandonment, lack of socialization and much more we will never know about. Change takes time and patience and you must be willing to commit and be patient before you can reap the rewards. Rescue dogs are so loving and affectionate and oh so deserving of a forever home. Please be willing to make your home the last stop on their journey to a happy life. If you are applying to adopt a puppy mill rescue you can email ahead to receive our information on adopting dogs released from such situations.
We have very limited information on most all of our pets as almost everyone comes from a shelter. We post everything we know about each animal in their individual posting. We require that the adopter come to the adoption with a Valid Driver's License, Collar, Leash and Cash/Money Order for the adoption fee or we will not be able to adopt at that time. You will be given a copy of your contract, vet records and any other information we have on the dog at the time of adoption.
Our lives revolve around the animals in our care, to make all of them as happy as they can be. We adopt to individuals over the age of 21 with a valid driver's license and vet/personal references and approval of application. If you are not a home owner you will need a letter of approval from your landlord/Property Manager. We strive to create a wonderful life for both our canines and adopters. We want everyone to be happy with the decisions we make together. If you are interested in adopting one of our bully breeds you MUST: Have a fenced yard Be a home owner Provide proof that your current home owners policy does not discriminate against any breed **Some animals will require prior breed experience and we may require specific training** Our adoption contract states that an adopted animal CANNOT be altered cosmetically including but not limited to declawing of cats, ear cropping and tail docking. It also state that we approve only FORCE FREE training programs, we do not allow or encourage the use of shock, prong or choke collars. All puppies and dogs will only be adopted out as members of your family, we do not adopt out outside dogs. ALL domesticated animals currently housed with you must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations PRIOR to consideration of your application. This includes animals owned by any family member living with you. We also verify that animals have been continually kept up to date on all vaccines. We do random home inspections to assure all adopted animals are being well taken care of and we only adopt with a spay/neuter contract signed. If the dog you are adopting has not already been altered then it will be your responsibility to have this done within the time frame stated on the contract. ***Our adoption fees help us recover only some of the expenses we face while caring for rescued animals. . . . gasoline, vet checkups, worming, shots, spay/neuter surgery (not all dogs are altered before they leave), crates, outdoor kennels, toys, food, collars, leashes, and much more. Please understand we do not receive any funding from other sources outside of DONATIONS and ADOPTION fees. ***Adoption fees and donations are non-refundable.
