In an effort to move more pets into forever homes for the holidays we are reducing adoption fees. This applys to Helping Miami County Paws dogs only. If the dog says courtesy by its name it does not belong to our rrescue it has been posted for another rescue/shelter. There are many low cost options to keep your pet up to date on vaccines or to have your pet altered. If you would like to know more about those services please contact us.

Come see us at the J & K Aquarium and Pets every Saturdays from 2p-6p. Please call ahead and tell us what dog you would like to meet and we will make sure they come along that day. Volunteers are always welcome. Come see our adoptable and home less dogs every Saturday.

Who We Are
Helping Miami County Paws is a no kill dog rescue. We started in 2008 to save the local dogs and get them into their forever homes or another no-kill rescue. We see more dogs than we can take without sending some to another rescue or their forever homes. We are all volunteers we depend on our adoption fees to keep us going. We do not recieve funding from our city or county. All adoption fees go back into pull fees, vet bills, food, and supplies.

Adopting a friend
If you would like to adopt from us please contact us and we will send you an application and explain how the process works. It is very easy. We DO adopt out of state. You can also go to smilingk9s.com for an application.

If you would like to come see the dogs to adopt please call us at 765-472-1241. If you would like to adopt a pet when we are not at the store it is by appointment only. We are not the local shelter we are a rescue of fosters and volunteers out of our homes.
