Who We Are

The Steuben County Humane Society was incorporated in 1973 and built our current facility in 1984. The purpose of our Society is the prevention of cruelty to animals, the relief of suffering among animals and humane education. It is our policy to provide humane care and treatment to animals including: vet care, feeding, bathing, compassionate care and clean housing. To seek to return lost animls to their owners and to seek suitable homes for animals without owners. We are the only animal shelter in Steuben County, Indiana.
