Meet DAISY....This wonderful cattle dog girl is still patiently waiting for her own furever family. This gal would love an active family or person to spend her time with. Daisy is our longest term resident, so it's our goal for the new year to find her a special home of her own! Please check out Daisy's homepage to see her video: http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=9212200
UPDATE 4/6/08 Daisy is still patiently waiting for her furever home. Dasiy has become a healthy, beautiful girl. Daisy loves people now and can't get enough attention. She only wants to please. She would love to find a nice home to live out her years taking care of her own people family! Daisy has come out of her shell and is no longer a scared girl.
Did you know that not all Australian Cattle Dogs are blue?? They come in red too! And pretty Daisy is one of those! Daisy came to us from a rural southern Indiana county shelter, where she had been dropped off with a litter of puppies. Daisy's puppies went to another rescue and Daisy came here to us. Daisy was sooooo scared when she first arrived she wouldn't even move. As you can see from her pictures, she's coming out of her shell now!
Daisy has turned into a very sweet girl who just craves attention. She is very happy. She doesn't pay much attention to the cats. She is a very smart girl who listens great and wants very badly to please! She will make some lucky person or family a very loyal, lifelong companion. She still needs lots of time, love and affection because she gets very scared if she thinks she's in trouble. She gets very scared when put in the car, like she fears she is going back to the shelter. But we're working on that. She doesn't make a peep, just is terrified. We don't think Daisy had much socialization before, but she's a sponge, and soaks up every bit of attention she gets now and is always looking for more! She can be a little picky about her doggie friends, mainly because she doesn't like the competition for attention. She would do best in a home without other dogs or one with a very considerate doggie friend!
Daisy has had her distemper/parvo and bordetella vaccines, been dewormed, heartworm tested negative, and started on monthly flea and heartworm preventative. She is now spayed and had her rabies shot, and has been microchipped. Daisy weighs in around 50 lbs. She's now all ready for her furever home! The vet estimates Daisy is about 4 years old. We want the rest of Daisy's days to be much happier than they have been before now.
