The beginning of 2009 marked the second anniversary of the Midwest Old English Sheepdog Rescue of Indiana. A large number of purebred Old English Sheepdogs and a few OES-mixes were taken into our homes, evaluated, altered, vetted, groomed and loved before moving on to their forever homes. We can't thank our volunteers enough, those who helped foster, transport, do home visits with potential adopters and offered moral and financial support to our growing rescue. And special thanks to our adopters, who have given these dogs a second (or third or fourth... ) chance at a wonderful life. We are officially partnered with Midwest Old English Sheepdog Rescue of Minnesota to cover an even greater OES population. Our goal for 2009 is to file paperwork to become a 501(c)3 charitable organization, and of course to help as many Old English Sheepdogs as we can.
Thanks for your continued support and encouragement!
Who We Are
We are a small group of Old English Sheepdog lovers in the Midwestern United States, working to find the best homes possible for displaced OES in our area. We network with various shelters, humane societies and rescues to save as many Old English Sheepdogs as possible in our immediate area and beyond.
Please Contact Us!
You can find our adoption application here: http://moesr.org/Adoption_Form.html
Upon receipt of your completed application, we will check your references and schedule a visit to your home before placing a dog.
Adopting a Friend
We are NOT a "shelter". We ARE a group of Old English Sheepdog owners who provide foster care in our homes. By interacting with our families and pets, we can better determine the qualities necessary for each dog's forever home.
