Harrison Educational Animal Responsibility Team
HEART Humane Society, Inc. was founded in 1995 as a no-kill shelter and currently has about 40 members dedicated to our mission:
To establish and provide a comprehensive adoption center for Harrison County, Indiana, which will provide its charges with care until they are adopted. And to provide educational programs dealing with care, training and breeding of small animals.
Our adoption fees are $25 and up.
HEART Humane membership is $10 a year - you don't have to be a member of the HEART Humane Society to adopt a pet! We meet the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Harrison County Public Library in Corydon, Indiana.
We also have events throughout the year such as "HEART Walk with the Animals", in October. Look for our HEART booth at the Lanesville Heritage Festival held every September... future HEART events are announced on our Events Page.
