*First annual Ark Animal Rescue & Adoption, INC benefit gathering was a total success! Food was great and a lot of great things were auctioned off. Thanks to all that were able to attend.
PAWS-N-CLAWS BOOKSTORE
Come visit our bookstore located on the square in Howe, Indiana (State Road 120). All books, new or used, are donated to us for resale. You pick the price, all we ask is a donation for the books you choose. All bibles are free. Come check us out.

Who We Are
Ark Animal Rescue & Adoption, Inc. is a small non-profit organization in LaGrange County, Indiana. Our current shelter is very small and insufficient for the needs of our community. Ark assists and coordinates most adoptions and rescues from our local shelter. We provide placement of animals to their forever homes or placement to reputable rescues thoroughout the country. We also help with transportaion if needed. We provide all medical care for shelter animal.
Adopting a friend
It is very easy to adopt a rescued pet and they are always grateful that you have saved their lives. An adoption application and contract must be filled out and signed along with a home visit to complete the adoption process. ARK's adoption fee is $100.00, this fee includes all shots UTD, heartworm negative, and altered. The adoption fee is $110.00 if it has had it's rabies vaccination. As an extra option, Microchipping is $30.00, this is done at the LaGrange County Animal Shelter.
ARK requires all animals to be spayed or neutered and verification of such will be required. If the adopter can provide paperwork showing they had the animal spayed or neutered, a $50.00 refund will be given.
We are VERY rescue friendly, we charge no pull fee and help provide transportation.
Become a Foster Parent
Currently we have two foster families. Would you like to become a foster parent? It's easy! We will match a pet with your home life and you care for the pet just as if they are your own until their "Forever Home" is found. ARK will help support the pet with food and necessary veterinary services. You would in turn love the pet and help it to become a good family member to prepare it for adoption. All animals in the foster program are posted on the Internet so prospective families can meet them.
