Happy Endings Rat Rescue & Sanctuary (A division of EARPS Exotic Animal Rescue)
Who We Are
Happy Endings Rat Rescue & Sanctuary is a division of EARPS Exotic Animal Rescue which is based in Indianapolis, IN. We are a small rescue located in Columbia City, IN specializing in rats and mice. Our mission is to provide a safe haven for unwanted rats and mice and to find the best homes we can for those that are adoptable. Through education, we also hope to dispel the undeserved negative stereotypes these beautiful animals still have in much of society today. We do not euthanize unplaceable animals, therefore, all old, ill or aggressive rats or mice live out the remainder of their lives here.
Adopting a friend
An adoption fee of $10-20 per rat includes a complete physical exam by a licensed exotic veterinarian and spay/neuter. It is required that rats be adopted in pairs or more unless you already have a rat at home. Rats are extremely social animals and are happiest when housed with other rats.
Our mouse adoption fee is $5 per mouse. Females must be adopted in same-sex pairs unless you have a female mouse at home. Males must be adopted in bonded same-sex pairs but can sometimes be adopted as singles if they do not get along with other males.
