About Us:
The Cat's Meow Shelter was started in January 2001 as a tribute to Kit Kat and Eddie who were leukemia positive cats I had rescued and loved dearly until their early deaths. The shelter houses abandoned or neglected cats. It does not take in owner surrenders.
The
cats residing with us have free range of their habitat and are carefully checked for
health before placement. All of the cats that are adopted are leukemia
negative, have all shots and are spayed/neutered.
The shelter cannot house any more animals at this time as it is full. Currently we house 56 feline guests. The Cat's Meow is proud to say the shelter is now complete. All cat guests live free in their habitat which is designed just for them. They have plenty of room to play and nap. The cubby space is very popular as is the window area. The space is fully carpeted and furnished now giving a homey feel. Of course it is heated and air conditioned as well. This new shelter area allows the cats a secure life.
