The Michiana Humane Society welcomes you to its 6th annual Holiday Home Tour.
It is our honor and privilege to invite you to the 2009 Holiday Home Tour to benefit the homeless animals at the Michiana Humane Society. We extend our sincere thanks to the homeowners who graciously decorated and opened their homes for this event and to the participating florists & designers whose creative talents are showcased.
We would also like to thank those in the Michiana community whose lives have been touched by the homeless animals at the shelter whether it be from kind donations, adoptions, or volunteerism. Without you, our mission could not go on. We hope you are able to join us as we celebrate the upcoming Holiday Season while supporting our local florists and business advertisers who promote the efforts of the Michiana Humane Society. We truly have some wonderful homes for you to tour this year!

Please visit our website for more details on what homes will be on the tour this year. Tickets are available for purchase for $35.00, and on tour days at the homes they can be purchased for $40.00.
Adopting a friend
Here at Michiana Humane Society, every effort is made to match animals with the right people or families. Accordingly, we screen prospective adopters carefully before any animal leaves our care and begins a new life.
Before adopting, you will be required to fill out an adoption application and contract. This contract simply reinforces your pledge to take proper care of the animal, take it to a vet within 14 days of adoption, and spay or neuter it when the proper time comes.
Our adoption fee is $115 for dogs,this includes, current vaccinations (excluding rabies) heartworm testing for dogs over 6 months old, a free sample of Burns Dog Food, $25.00 certificate towards altering, microchip.
$65 for cats, and includes a $25 certificate towards altering, a free sample of Burns Cat food, current vaccinations, deworming, FIV & Feline Leukemia Test.
We do not do same day adoptions, and we do not ship animals.
