Bobbi is an enchanting, young Hound dog. She is tall and lanky and is 2 years old (born July 2007). Bobbi has soft, blonde fur with gray and black mixed in. She has a great personality and a cute bobbed tail that wags even though it is very short. She is timid with men at first. Bobbi walks well on a leash. When out walking, she is afraid of the cars and things like mailboxes and guard rails. But she continues on. She rewards her walking companion with kisses and love. Please give Bobbi a chance. She is very sweet and will make a wonderful member of your family.
Leeland and Pringles are Lab/Terrier mix and are about 4 months old (born March 2009). Leeland is on the left with Pringles on the right. They have short soft fur. Leeland is black with lots of white fur around his neck and paws; and he has a white tipped tail. He has some black spots on his white paws and a cute white ring around his nose. He will likely be a medium sized dog. Leeland is very spunky and playful. Pringles is mostly black with a white diamond shape on his back and also has a white chest and three white tipped paws. He is shy but very loving.
These little fellows are abounding with energy and love any attention they can drum up from anyone passing their kennel.
Who We Are
PAWS Pet Adoption Center is a non-profit, no kill animal shelter for abandoned and homeless animals. PAWS provides medical needs and daily care for animals in the shelter. The individuals who volunteer their time to PAWS attempt to spend concentrated time with the animals and to provide them with love and affection.
PAWS is run strictly by volunteers and has no paid staff or administration. PAWS is a limited access shelter which means we take in animals on a space available basis.

PAWS is located in Petersburg, Indiana. Our shelter is located in a blue pole building on Meridian Street just off of Illinois Street behind the old Stone and Stemle buildings, across from the Petersburg Little League Fields.
Each prospective animal owner is required to sign an agreement in which he or she commits to have the animal spayed or neutered, to keep vaccinations current, to call PAWS first if they are unable to keep the animal, and to provide (dogs) heartworm medicine and annual heartworm tests.
PAWS adoption fees are $60 for dogs and $50 for cats. This fee covers the charge of spaying or neutering of the animal. This fee is considered a donation and is non-refundable.
