C.A.R.A is a state licensed, private, non-profit, NO KILL animal shelter,
with an all-volunteer staff providing compassionate care, treatment,
and adoption placement of homeless animals.
There are no restrictions on the length of time an animal is allowed to remain at the shelter.
Since our beginning, we have spayed and neutered over 1200 animals
and have adopted over 700 animals to their new homes.

Provide low cost spay/neuter services for those who would not
normally seek out traditional veterinarian services
Provide low cost vaccine clinics
Reduce the population of cats and dogs through low cost spay/neuter program
Promote public awareness of the animal overpopulation problem through education

Our Volunteer Staff Work Every Day To Ensure the Compassionate
Care, Treatment,and Placement of Homeless Animals
We need Vounteers to: Care for the Animals - Feed and Water, Clean Cages, Sweep/Mop Floors, Laundry....Promote the Adoption of Animals - Help at off-site Adoption Locations, Drivers, Grooming......Sustain and support the animals - Fund-raising, Thrift Store & Gift shop, Donations, Office and computer work, Telephone work.

An application is first filled out on past history and future of pet ownership and living conditions. A meet and greet is then arranged. Once approved: we suggest all family members and other pets be introduced before final adoption.
