M.A.R.S. INTRO TO CANINE BEHAVIOR AND TRAINING TECHNIQUES* *Attendance for this informational class is for owners and adopters WITHOUT their pets Class Fee: $15 donation to Midwest Animal Rescue Service M.A.R.S. will be offering an introduction to canine behavior and training techniques for owners that would like to know more about how to care for and train their pet. Our classes will focus on training techniques and tools, and how to make your pet a valued member of your family, and community. Other focuses include: diet and nutrition, crate training/house training, different kinds of collars and leashes, and grooming/skin care. This program will be divided into a series of 1 hour sessions, and our trainers will be available for Q & A after each session, and will be offering one-on-one training consultations with owners and pets (please do not bring pets to the informational classes, thank you). |

Adopting A Friend
WHAT IS THE ADOPTION PROCESS?
Interested adopters must complete an online adoption application at www.DogsFromMars.net. Once you have completed an online adoption application, you will be emailed with its status within 1 business day. Once you have received your approval, you are eligible to "reserve" (put a hold on) one specific available animal for the upcoming adoption event. You will have the opportunity to meet the pet that you have reserved at the event, and if it is the right pet for you, you WILL be able to take them home with you THAT DAY!

Who We Are
Did you know that M.A.R.S. was founded in May of 2009 by two friends in their 20's? M.A.R.S. is one of the only rescues to be founded and run by college-age team members, and proud of it!
Because of this fact, the MARS Team must work extra hard and strive towards excellence to establish themselves as one of the leading rescues in adopter education and animal health procedures.
Our team is proud to have so many young people participating in the care of our animals, and will continue to maintain a high standard of care, and show the rescue community that young people can make a BIG difference!

Adoption Events are held 3 weekends a month at the Pet Supplies Plus in Buffalo Grove, IL! If you are interested in adopting a rescued pet, please fill out an online adoption application at www.DogsFromMars.net.
Horses are available for adoption in Murphysboro, IL by appointment.
