We are a private non-profit organization. 100% of our funding comes from our adoption donations and fund raising events. All our staff are volunteers trained to evaluate dogs and who want to help them find wonderful homes. We are dedicated to re-homing rottweilers,dobermans and other breeds that are of sound temperment. We are now an all-breed rescue taking in most breeds that may need to be rehomed.
Our adoption fees do not cover the expenses we have in the dogs we adopt. Many rescues do rescue as a means of living-that is why they have high adoption fees or say it is not negotiable-they need so much money to live on!!
Any rescue asking hundreds of dollars for a dog should microchip, provide collar and leash, heartworm test if 6 months of age or over, groom , apply a flea product, do an intestinal parasite exam, deworm , spay/neuter, give ALL vaccines which include bordetella, Rabies( if over 12 weeks of age) , Distemper combination and an adoption kit that includes educational training material to help you get started with your new pet. Please do not be fooled into thinking all rescues are good, they are not- ask a lot of questions before you adopt!!!
Adopting a friend
All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm/lyme tested ,advantage or frontline applied and groomed. We pay for the microchip enrollment fee. We use Homeagain microchips. Our available dogs are evaluated for temperment. We only place dogs that interact well with our own dogs, not aggressive, not fearful,and ones we would enjoy owning ourselves. All dogs come with all medical records, toys, bag of food, Heartgard puppy kit, new Lupine collar and leash, training material to read to make the adoption as smooth as possible and 24 hour help with any concerns you might have about the dog you adopted from us. Anyone adopting a dog has 2 weeks to bring back for a full refund if it is not a perfect match- we want our families as well as our dogs happy.
