Currently we have no dogs available, but are also still helping to match adopters with the right dog through contact with several other Border Collie groups and individuals that are holding their dog until an adopter is available.
Who We Are
We are a 160 acre farm that cares for, trains, and places abandoned or relinquished Border Collies (and occasional other breeds). Dogs receive training in social skills, farm life (around machinery, behaving off leash, and around farm cats and scenarios), Many of the dogs receive training in herding to some degree on the resident sheep. All dogs receive microchips, vaccines, HW testing, worming and physicals. Dogs are evaluated for ability to compete in agility, obedience, herding, flyball, and other dog sports. Hip x-rays prior to adoption can be arranged for those interested in a dog for performance events.
We also do referral work for help in finding the right dog for you and your family. Behavior questions are also always welcome, just write or phone us. Specialized training for dogs is also available by appointment.
Since we are gone on most weekends to Agility or Herding Trials the best time to reach us is Monday evening thru Thursday if you're phoning. We're always available by email.
Adopting a friend
Dogs can be adopted by passing a verbal and written application. A home visit is also necessary sometimes. References from a veteranarian are required. An adoption contract is required to be signed.
