Benji is a senior Cocker Spaniel who was very neglected in his former life. He came to us extremely matted, very underweight and very depressed. Yesterday, after a good grooming, some decent veterinary care, and LOTS of TLC, Benji went to his forever home.
Because we are a small rescue, money is always in short supply. Please help us help other animals like Benji, who through no fault of their own, end up living horrible lives. Send a donation to us, ANY amount helps us continue helping these animals who otherwise have no hope of a second chance.
Who We Are
We are a small, foster-home-based rescue in Northwest Indiana and Northeast Illinois; we are a not-for profit organization who relies solely on donations. We get no assistance from any government entities. Our adoption fees cover basic veterinarian care; any unexpected illnesses completely drain our monetary resources. In dealing with animals from rural shelters and animal controls, medical problems are expected.
Our goal is to help get dogs/cats in high-kill shelters and animal controls into their forever homes by getting them out of animal controls/shelters and into the temporary safety of a foster home.
WE NEED YOU!!!! to help us do this; either by fostering an animal, donating needed supplies such as food, collars, leashes, treats, blankets, or by sponsoring medical treatment. Any and all help is GREATLY appreciated.
Adopting a friend
Since all our animals are in foster homes, please contact us by email or phone to set up an appointment to see one of our adoptable animals. Adoption fees are $125.00-$150.00; this is to help defray the cost of spaying/neutering and insuring that each of our animals is UTD on all vaccinations, Heartworm tested and on preventative, and microchipped.
