they are durable, chew proof and easy to clean. If you would like

Who We Are
Welcome to the Petfinder page of West Hancock Canine Rescue. We are a non-profit, all volunteer organization located on the banks of the Mississippi River in Hamilton, IL. Space in our local shelter, the Hancock County pound, is extremely limited and because we are a small community, there are simply not enough people in our area to adopt many of our dogs. A concerted effort is made to transport stray and surrendered dogs to animal rescue groups in larger metropolitan areas (Chicago, Minneapolis, Madison, WI, etc ...). A select number of dogs are posted on Petfinder.com in hopes of finding local adopters.
Adopting a friend
We are delighted to receive inquiries about the dogs on our site and we will quickly make arrangements for you to meet with "your new best friend". In the best interest of our dogs, we ask each potential adopter to complete an application and also allow us to perform a home check.
Additionally, there is an adoption fee of $125.00 which helps us to cover our veterinary costs for spay/neuter procedures, rabies and parvo/distemper vaccines, etc ...
Donations
Tax-deductible contributions help us provide basic veterinary care and feeding and housing for our many needy dogs. Donations may be made to:
