We are a county-operated animal control facility. All dogs are held for a mandatory 7 days before being available for adoption. We have a very small facility, but adoptable animals are held for the longest amount of time possible to give them every opportunity to be adopted!
Adopting a friend
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated for Parvo/Distemper and Rabies, de-wormed, de-flea-ed, heartworm tested, and microchipped prior to adoption. The adoption fee for one of these dogs is $125 ($115 for vet fees at $10 county fee). If you've been searching other rescues, you know that this is a VERY reasonable fee to pay for a fully vetted pet.

Please, come visit us. We are located at 5401 County Shed Road in Virginia, IL (the facility is connected to the Highway Department).
